This was a great job to work on… from the opening ‘wow’ shot captured by the drone panning out to reveal the sheer magnitude of Masons Scaffolding’s current project, to the personable interview with Grant Mason himself.

Masons Scaffolding is a South East based business working across London and the home counties. Set up in 1993 by Grant Mason, the company prides itself on its 27 years of experience, the expertise of its workforce and its safety first approach, which underpins everything it does... and all of this was what we wanted to sum up in the video.

In the ‘talking heads’ part of the film we have our standard 2 camera set up, inviting the viewer into Grant’s office and then with close ups of the man himself. We meet Grant - the force behind Masons. He talks with passion about the company he loves. He says that what people love about Masons is the personal touch - and that is what we see on the screen. - shots of Grant himself at work (and the delightful thing about this, is that it wasn’t staged in any way - that is just him - despite being in his smart pinstripe suit we see Grant getting ‘back on the tools’ on his hands and knees). It’s a real insight into the man at the heart of the company.

As Grant talks about his staff, we see the guys at work - some great bold shots set against the striking backdrop of their current project - a huge manor house dating back to 1724, the viewer can’t fail but to be impressed.

Grant’s informal ‘interview’ gives him plenty of opportunity to talk about the things that are important to his business and in turn important to his clients. He covers health and safety which is of paramount importance in their industry and then goes on to talk about the referrals and recommendations he receives from his many happy clients.

The video is interspersed with still shots of the team at work and at play, along with their newly acquired  fleet of Euro 6 compliant vehicles, giving plenty of material for Masons to use on their social media platforms. 

All boxes ticked in just 3 minutes and 6 seconds!
